This program is established to preserve housing in existing neighborhoods and help families finance their major household repairs.
Eligibility Criteria
The City of Englewood Housing Improvement Loan Program makes low interest loans to Englewood homeowners. Eligibility is based on the following criteria:
- Your home is located within the city limits of Englewood.
- You own or are buying your home.
- You live in the home as your primary residence.
Terms
- The current interest rate is below 5%. Depending on your income, you may be eligible for a lower interest rate.
- The maximum term to repay the loan is 20 years. In some cases, all or part of the loan may be deferred until the home is sold.
- All closing costs are financed as part of the total loan.
- Funds are reserved on a first come, first served basis.
- There may be a waiting list.
Rental Property
Loans for rental properties, up to a four-plex, are also available at the maximum interest rate and a 20-year repayment term.

- Sewer and water lines
- Handicap Accessibility
- Wheelchair ramps
- Accessible bathrooms, kitchens, and doorways
